Maintenance Manager

Permanent, Full-time

Mississauga


Job Description:

  • Response to daily equipment break downs, Install/upgrade equipment and act on any building related challenges on daily basis
  • Conduct daily routine checks on equipment to detect damages, or needs for repairs on equipment and schedule or assign work in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for scheduling the PM of machines i.e. conveyors, palletizer, wrapper, sub floor line, foam lines and CNC router.
  • MUST be proficient in troubleshooting any electrical issues like motor, sensor, circuit, VFD and PLC with minimal supervision.
  • capable of dealing with the outside contractors, service providers and PM service providers on daily basis.
  • Must be knowledgeable about maintaining the parts inventory healthy and ordering parts.
  • Be proficient in using the internet and Microsoft tools effectively.
  • Be able to create /attend the daily and weekly downtime meetings with the production team and the plant supervisor.
  • Take safety very seriously and maintain the company safety record flawless.
  • Comply with all company rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Participate in the development of team members through training and collaboration.


Job Requirement & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years maintenance experience with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Trade license 442a.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprint and identify parts.
  • Excellent understanding of AUTOMATION is required.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical is required. (bearings, rollers, conveyors, wrapper, pneumatics and hydraulic system along with Gear motors, sensors, drives, VFD etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending, lifting and moving objects with no physical limitations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fast learner and knowledge on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a medium-paced team environment and with minimal supervision.
